The local Royal Oak public house is renowned
for its cuisine, having been awarded several accolades,
including Egon Ronay. The New Farm Restaurant is also
situated in the village, and has gained a very good
reputation since opening - in 2003 and in 2011 it gained the Gold Award
from the Tourism Board. The nearest shops are in South Petherton, Crewkerne and Ilminster. Yeovil, a little further
away, has a complete range of shops.
